Re: Inherit Noesis Theme or Styles merged into my custom Styles

Hello, In the Blend project you should add our Noesis.GUI.Extension nuget, that will provide all our extensions and access to the Theme styles. Then you can modify your App.xaml to include the theme and your resources: <Application ...> <Application.Resources> <ResourceDictionary> <ResourceDictionar...

Re: UI controls/widgets that contain state, and/or handling state that might not belong in the ViewModel?

Hi, The first popup that shows seems like a normal UI interaction (you decide when to show it, mouse right-click, key binding, whatever...), nothing to do with the ViewModel. Then, you can show other parts of that panel (using a Expander, ToggleButton...?) again with no intervention of the ViewModel...

Re: How to change the FontFamily ingame?

Hello, One way to achieve what you want is to merge a different dictionary depending on the selected language/font. For example, you can have a master dictionary for the fonts in the Application Resources, call it Fonts.xaml, and then have specific dictionaries for each language/font, like Fonts.Eng...

Re: Best Practices for Navigation Between Views

Using visibility to show/hide different screens included in a master xaml makes sense in controlled scenarios with a few screens that interact between them. But if you need a more dynamic navigation flow then having a state machine will make more sense. The way you expose those states to the UI may ...

Re: Symbol and HTML entities will not render in WebGL when placed in viewmodel

Hello, HTML/XML entities are only required in the XAML code to avoid conflicts with the XML syntax. The XML parser will convert them into the actual unicode characters to set the property value. So in your ViewModel (or code behind) you will just use the final UTF8 string that will be directly set i...

Re: Unity requires full .NET Framework?

In Unity you don't need to mess with the Visual Studio project references, you usually just build your project with Unity and there is no need for any external Microsoft assemblies for Noesis to work, we provide all the source code in our plugin and it gets compiled by Unity. You have to adapt your ...

Re: Unity requires full .NET Framework?

Noesis API is compatible with .NET Standard 2.0, so it should work with any configuration you want to use in Unity.
Did you find any problems with that?

Re: Sound triggers for custom controls

Hello, I don't think you need to create a custom TabControl to handle tab switching with the gamepad. Our default implementation already supports it, you can use the gamepad bumpers to switch between tabs if the focus is inside the TabControl or in the tab headers. Regarding the playing of sounds th...
