Re: Recommendations for a slide in / slide out docking panel containing drag and drop widgets

Hi, Having a simple UserControl that exposes a property to bind the collection of tabs I think will work. And as I said, maybe another property that indicates if it is hidden or expanded to handle the expand/collapse animations easier. You will be able to use it like this, assuming your data context...

Re: Dynamically adding a new widget in C++ code, and then using FindName() to get it

Hi, 1) Yes, that code is perfectly valid to dynamically add an element to the UI tree. 2) Setting the name in an element does not register it in the xaml namescope. For that you have to call RegisterName (which is what the xaml parser does when finds an x:Name): mXamlGrid->RegisterName("Rigger&...

Re: ContextMenu Placement and PlacementTarget intermittently not being respected

Just an addition, there is no need to explicitly assign the PlacementTarget, it will be automatically set to ContextMenu's owner when opening.

Re: ContextMenu Placement and PlacementTarget intermittently not being respected

Hi, this is a bug for sure, because it should behave always the same. Without reproducing it yet my guess is that sometimes the ContextMenu property is processed before the other context menu related properties in the Border element, and the context menu falls back to the default value. If you can p...

Re: StoryboradCompletedTrigger woes

Hi Sam, I'll investigate why the StoryboardCompletedTrigger doesn't work in that scenario, but in the meantime it would be enough to just start the "ping" animation when you fire the PingedEvent from your view model (if I understood correctly what you try to do): <noesis:DataEventTrigger S...

Re: FindByName fails with custom ContentControl

Hi, this is happening because the UserControl defines its own NameScope (it is loading an associated xaml to define its appearance), so the content Button can't be registered into the parent control. Instead, implement your BorderPanelControl as a lookless control (no InitializeComponent and no Load...

Re: ToggleButton with one way binding

Hi, this seems a bug in Noesis because I verified it works in Blend just fine. Could you please report it in our bugtracker?

Re: Recommendations for a slide in / slide out docking panel containing drag and drop widgets

To do the slide in/out you can use animations and just have a template for the tab header to launch the appropriate animation. It can be done entirely in xaml (see the following xamltoy), but it can probably be simplified with a UserControl with some code-behind to handle when to show or hide the ta...

Re: Passing input through opacity?

First of all, you should be getting an error about using Window (unless you implemented your own window container): LogNoesis: Warning: Window not supported in Unreal, please use Page or UserControl instead. LogNoesis: Warning: /Game;component/Tests/WindowTest.xaml(1): Unknown type 'Window'. Regardi...
