Yes the idea is:
  • Rendering Unity UI to a camera
  • Render Noesis View to a different camera
Use the instructions in the given link to decide the order of those two cameras. Note that both cameras are rendering to the same screen.

I haven't tried this with Unity UI, but I think it should work.

This is a limitation of the current architecture to avoid increasing the numbers of shaders needed per custom brush. Curves quality can be changed with View::SetTessellationMaxPixelError(). XamlPlayer is using HighQuality. That should explain the differences you are observing.

NoesisGUI 3.2 brings also a much better algorithm for curves. Stay tuned about it :)

That part of the application framework is not implemented in Unity. For now, you need to implement the shaders you need for your game following the BrushShaders and VideoEffect examples.

I tried to recreate the problem using xamltoy with the code below, but the problem does not appear to be present there (maybe it's using a differend SDK version?):
Could you try the XAML you used for XamlToy with the XamlPlayer corresponding to the SDK you are using?

After calling LoadXAML you receive an already initialized tree. Initialized even will never called at your point, it is too late. That's only useful for code-behind . But in your case, you can just set the DataContext directly. Something like element->SetDataContext(MakePtr<ViewModel>());
