libNoesis.so glibc dependency

27 May 2020, 16:40

I'm still having trouble with the native and managed library combination I need.

I'm trying to create a .net4.6 app running on arm linux using Mono. The app works fine, spins up and just spins a triangle around on a glcontext. Happy days.

I then try and add Noesis. I add the .net4.6 Noesis.GUI.dll to the app and this compiles. I drop the app into linux and then also drop the /runtimes/linux-arm/native/libNoesis.so library into the same folder but I get DllNotFoundException:Noesis.

I guess either the libNoesis.so has dependencies on the underlying linux system or there is something else going on.

Please can you advise which Managed Library.dll and Native Library.so I should use for running Noesis on Arch linux ARM (No X windows installed)

Resolved. There was a dependency on glibc version 2.27 and I had version 2.22.

Upgrading sorted the issue.

Thanks for the feedback. By the way, I don't think the subject you chose is very appropriate.

Just marking this as solved.
