Problem rendering transparent images

14 Nov 2022, 17:43

Hello.

As you can see in the screenshots below, I can't seem to be able to render transparent Sprites and Textures with Noesis/Unity. There is a problem in the alpha channel.

Image
(left Noesis, right Unity Canvas + Image)

Tried with different PNGs, mine and downloaded from internet, same thing.

Unity 2021.3.6f1 (Built-in Render Pipeline)
Noesis 3.1.5 (all settings default)

Here is the PNG file showed in the screenshot:

You are probably missing the "Texture" label.

That was it! Sorry I read the documentation months ago and forgot about adding the label "Noesis".

Just adding the label though did it, I didn't have to uncheck "Alpha is transparency".

Thank you very much and sorry for the classic "didn't read the documentation enough before posting".

I am not sure this is entirely your fault, because we should find a better way to do this. But so far, we didn't find a better approach. We have been tempted in the past to do this by default for all textures...
