OgreBindings and GL3+ rendersystem

Hi, I'm having trouble getting Noesis to run with the Ogre bindings when using the Ogre GL3+ rendersystem. Specifically, it crashes inside NsGetKernel()->InitSystems().

Is this rendersystem supported? Do I need to change anything to get it to run properly?

Hi,

OpenGL3+ is implemented in the Beta 1.2 that can be downloaded from the sticky post at this forum. Problem is that right now only the Windows SDK and win_x86_64 runtime have been released.

Anyway, the crash you are getting is probably being notified as an error if you installed an error handler. Could you paste here the error description?

One of the thinks we did in the 1.2 version is deprecating OpenGL v2.1... although this is not a final decision. Right now are not sure about the implications of this change.

Thanks for the information. It was crashing on a call to glGetShaderiv(). Unfortunately I don't have the logs in front of me at the moment.

Ironically, on Windows we have gl3+ support in ogre without running with the gl3+ rendersystem. It is only on the mac that we are only getting gl 2.1 functionality when running ogre.

We will try to release a new v1.2 Beta with binaries for OSX this week. Let's see if that solves your problem. As said we are unsure about what to do with the deprecation of GL 2.1.
