XAML to NSB file compilation

Hey guys,

I posted earlier asking if it would be possible to get a command line tool for compiling XAML into FSB files.

Then I was reading more of the documentation, and saw the BuildTool, which does exactly that. I felt like an idiot who asks questions before doing research, so I deleted the post.

My question now is, will I have access to the BuildTool with the indie license? And if so, would it be possible to distribute the BuildTool as part of UNION's modding tools? We already have a few people who are keen to mod our game, and giving them the ability to modify our UIs is quite important.

As I mentioned in my previous post, I am absolutely delighted with NoesisGUI, and want to thank you for your excellent product and service.

Thanks,

Mark

P.S. I received that PM but could not reply, I was notified that I " need to participate more to be able to use this feature".

Hi!

The BuildTool you saw is probably the command line tool that is part of the C++ SDK. If you are not going to use code-behind (x:class keywords) implemented in C#, then you can use that tool with no problems. If you need using C# classes then there is a version of the BuildTool already integrated in Unity (have a look at NoesisBuildToolKernel.cs) that you can use to build your own tool to distribute among your users. We have several customers already following that approach.

Ah that is excellent, thank you.

I am really enjoying working with NoesisGUI, I will be picking it up before the end of the month.
