UX Request: Better UI for selecting a color resource

Hi there!
Can we get a better interface for selecting and applying a resource to a Background, Stroke/Border Brush and Foreground? We have a lot of colors that in our design system we've defined as SolidColorBrush or LinearGradientBrush which reference color resources.
Example:
<Color x:Key="Blue50">#FFD1DAE6</Color>
<SolidColorBrush x:Key="Color.Text" Color="{StaticResource Blue50}" />
This tokenization is paramount for us to keep our color palette consistent and easily maintainable, as well as unlock theming.
However, applying any of our resources is pretty hard when the UI is just dozens of thumbnails with seemingly no organization and way to filter or sort them. Which is kind of weird, because in the colors menu we do get a "Search color" field. Any improvements here would be greatly appreciated.
