Type resolution issues in UE5 (x:Class not working)

Hello everyone,
Wondering if anyone knows why I'm suddenly experiencing problems with a custom UserControl and x:Class not sticking to the C++ code-behind class? I've got a Noesis Studio project at the root of the UE5 project (left default name "Game") and I have a UE5 C++ module ("ArkaenNoesisModule") that registers the "MainMenuView" (UserControl) and appears to do everything correctly. But I get "type not found" error messages when I try to assign x:Class and as a result I can't use the control inside of any other element or do anything with it. I let it get pretty late on me and got tired, but some of the messages in the UE5 build log made me think that maybe it's treating things like they live in different assemblies/modules or something? Another forum post I came across earlier seemed to suggest the project filename might have something to do with this and/or maybe I need to edit the project file.
Is there some trick to the naming, namespace, module or project file conventions that I'm not doing correctly, and if so how does it need to be? Or is it expecting a specific file/folder structure or something?
