Vector based character animation in GUI
Hi,
I plan to buy NoesisGUI and would like some details on how easy it would be to animate a full vector based 2D character directly inside a Unity Noesis GUI. Does it support the parent-child relationships for body-legs-arms direct kinematics and does it use Unity animation recordings to store animations ?
Thanks

You can animate anything within NoesisGUI, but animation is edited in the xaml file by using a XAML editor like Blend (as you would create animations in Max). You can also create groups and animate them together, so you would have total support for parent-child relationships as in body-leg-arms kinematics.
The attached example shows a very basic walk animation on a dummy made with basic geometries. I did this sample in a few minutes in Blend and I have no idea how to animate bodies, please don't judge me

Thanks for the sample
I dont have the pack yet, will buy in the next few days, probably tomorrow, so i cant test the animation
The question is if i can use Unity animation system to animate a character, i think in some of the videos one of the menus was directly animated within Unity
I have not used Blend, is it a standalone animation program ?

You can already test that scene by downloading our Trial: http://goo.gl/cWqmDe.
About your question I think you are talking about Unity's Mecanim Animation System. NoesisGUI cannot interact with that system, animations are defined inside the xaml file, and can be fired from scripts or automatically by NoesisGUI events if specified in the xaml file.
