Hey,

I am working on integrating Noesis Studio into our own engine. It's going pretty well so far, however I have spotted a need for fetching a list of open files.
The public API only gives me functionality to save all or discard all, and I would like to get a list of open files to I can use our source control widgets to prompt the users for checking the files out.
Any plans for that in the immediate future? We have full source so I could do it myself, but I really want to keep vendor changes to the absolute minimum.

We are working on extending the API to support file operations (save, write, move, and delete) to facilitate source control operations. You can find more information here: #5228.

I'm not sure whether this functionality would be useful for your scenario.

If you still need access to the list of open tabs, could you please elaborate a bit more on your use case?

We are open to extending the API further, but I'd like to better understand your requirements before moving forward.

In our engine we have assets 'wrapping' xaml files, that extend and configure the UI in different ways. The UI asset editor can only have a single asset open at a time (but you could have multiple UI asset editors open at once). Noesis Studio would as an instance under the UI asset editor.
When saving the asset, I would also like to save any files open in the Noesis Studio instance in the same UI asset editor, so e.g foo.xaml and foo_resource_dict.xaml.
We already prompt to check out the UI asset, and I would be looking to extend this with checking out all open xamls as well. Path names relative to the noesis project root would be enough I think.

I am just starting to explore our integration, so there may be more feedback coming :)
All in all super excited to have it running.

For this, couldn't you just call SaveAllChanges(studio) and then receive the corresponding FileWritten notifications for each file that has changed?
