Re: Status and pricing of 1.2 with Unity 5 Personal

11 Mar 2015, 21:40

When do you guys expect to have 1.2 fully working with Unity 5? 64bit editor and all, simply 100% support? Is it a matter of days, weeks, months?
It is a matter of days. I think next week we will have a package 100% compatible, including 64bits, with Unity5.

Cool :) Expect me to be a customer by next month then :)

Btw.. how exactly do I buy on your website? Do I have to contact you personally or is there some kind of online shop somewhere? I didn't find something like that on your page.

I contacted them via the Contact Us button, they responded with some questions, I answered, then they showed me how to pay, and I got a license and they found my forum account and gave it access to the Unity-related downloads. Didn't take long.

I have asked that in viewtopic.php?f=3&t=664, two options (supposing that 3ed one "no one cares" is discarded),

option 1: It is kind of a birthday party surprise (you don't want to revelate that not to loose the emotion).
option 2: there is some x64 unexpected issue (a bug or something that needs Unity3D approval) enough embarrasing not to be mentioned until solved.

Let's keep the faith and wait for the Kingdom comes! : D

1.5 hours ago, a Trello item was marked done for 1.2.1: "Unity 5 Package", whatever that means! The mystery continues...

https://trello.com/c/F7SlSZx8/172-unity-5-package

(In the meantime I am happy in Unity 5 x86 and the weird things I had to do to enable/disable the appropriate libraries as mentioned in the other thread.)

Get Unity 5 x86 Editor here:

https://unity3d.com/get-unity/download?ref=personal

Under "Additional Downloads" dropdown, "For Windows", select "Unity Editor (32-bit)"

BTW, for Linq on Unity and AOT, these may be of interest:

We have officially incorporated support for Unity5 (with 64 bit editor) in v1.2.1.

Unfortunately, we found several blocking issues in OSX related to mono. After a long debate (about if delaying the release of v1.2.0 or not) we decided to ship v1.2.1 with at least Windows + Unity5 working. All the OSX issues will be solved in the next version.

Thanks for your patience and feedback!

Sorry for the delay of this answer. Hectic days... Yes, please, as pointed out, you must contact us and we will send you an electronic invoice.

Hey you are doing an incredible good and pretty job, just that developers are not a patient kind (and with too much sarcastic humor) : D

I think we all are finding strange issues with the 1.2 (probably soon I'll submit one related to Android when removing all children within a grid) but once it is full stable and compatible with Unity 5 and Il2cpp (Unity will probably need to fix a lot of things regarding this too) we will have an incredibly powerful tool thank to you.

It would be nice (in case you don't have it yet) to have kind of roadmap with some estimations for at least the different platforms (webgl? windows store?) so we can make some planning. Those like us that have startups we really need something to make a little planning to help us in our chaotic lives.

cheers!
