Sorry about it, I can't help you with Java crashes but I would try commenting all lines in native code and add incrementally to discover what's causing the crash.

Being based on iOS it is quite easy to compile for Apple TV with access to the source code. A few companies did in the past, we don't have an official release because the demand is very low but that's something we debated about here many times.
