In Unity I am getting the message:Ignoring unknown member ItemsControl.AlternationCount. I assume that you do not have this property implemented.

Would it be possible to add this property to the ItemsControl?

As you noticed AlternationCount and AlternationIndex properties are not implemented.
Create a ticket in our bugtracker if you want to follow the status of this feature, we will add them in a future release.

Meanwhile you will need to use your own index property and data bindings to accomplish similar results.
