| Summary | 0003480: Groups Containing Other Groups Can't be Copy-Pasted from Illustrator | ||||
| Description | Although Group Conservation is non-functional across the board, Adobe Illustrator is unique in that when Copy-Pasting a Group, it doesn't manage to paste them whilst shedding the groups, and instead is incapable of any copy-pasting if a Group containing multiple groups each containing shapes, is selected. An equivalent procedure to that outlined below in Illustrator, does function in Affinity Designer. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | 1) Open the attached Illustrator File Observe how there is no visual result. 5) Click on the ring in the layers panel adjacent to either <Group> group (children of "COPYME"). Observe how the contents are successfully pasted. Expected Results: Groups are able to copy-pasted for use within Studio, even if it means removing all sub-groups contained. | ||||
