| Description | This is a bit of an odd one, because it appears to only occur on the left side of a Path (in the case of a rectangle). However, essentially, what happens, is that if you have a perfectly-centred Path Point in between two other Points, and you curve it perfectly symmetrically with Path Point Handles of equal distant and equal angle, the resulting curves produced are not symmetrical. One thing to note, in the attached images, you will notice how the 'A' curve is marked in green, whilst the 'B' curves are marked in red. This is because the 'A' curve is actually what would be expected to produce visually from this operation. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Repro Steps: 1) Create a Page 4) Equip the Path Tool (P), and find the centre-point of the left edge of the rectangle (as indicated by the red centre-point snapping indicator) and click to add a Path Point in this potion. 6) Equip the Path Selection Tool (A), and click on the newly-added left Path point at the centre of the left edge, and use [Shift+ArrowKeyLeft] to nudge the point Point 80 pixels leftwards (8 presses of [ArrowKeyLeft] whilst holding [Shift].) 8) With the Path Selection Tool (A) still equipped, select the right point Point whilst holding [Ctrl], and drag the mouse straight upward until it snaps at the top of the bounding box. This will be indicated by a red horizontal line. Observe how the two curves produced are perfectly symmetrical 9) With the Path Selection Tool (A) still equipped, select the left point Point whilst holding [Ctrl], and drag the mouse straight upward until it snaps at the top of the bounding box. This will be indicated by a red horizontal line. The result will look like what is shown in Image 2. Observe how the two curves produced are not symmetrical despite the Angle and Length Mirroring being in effect. Expected Results: Symmetrically-placed Path Points, that have been curved with a Length-symmetrical and Angle-symmetrical pair of handles, should produce symmetrical curves. | ||||
