| Summary | 0003700: Numerically-Input Path Point Properties Do Not Create A Keyframe At Playhead If Returning A Path Point To Its Initial Value | ||||
| Description | Currently, across all Properties, if you manually input a new Property Value within the Properties panel, it will place a keyframe with the new value at the playhead position on the timeline. However, Path Point Position Properties seem to be an exception to this rule when inputting a value that is the same as the initial Path Point value of the original Path. This appears to me to be an issue where Studio does not consider returning to a Path Point's initial value as a keyable value. This issue does not seem to however occur when click-and-dragging the Property. Only when typing in a value numerically by hand. See attached video. | ||||
| Steps To Reproduce | Repro Steps: 1) Create a Page. 4) On the first frame of the Storyboard, pick a Path Point (any), and note down its values. Then use the Path Selection Tool (A) to move the chosen Path Point to a new position across only the X-Axis. This will key a keyframe on Frame 1. Observe how a keyframe is not created when updating a Property Value in this method. Expected Results: Adjusting a Path Point Property by typing in a value has the same result as when moving it with the Path Selection Tool; in that it keys a keyframe with the newly-input value. | ||||
