| Summary | 0004561: Components Don't Benefit From The 'Isolate' Navigator Function | ||||
| Description | Currently, all object types in the Navigator, except for Components benefit from the ability to right-click on them and to 'Isolate' them. Given that we allow a user to enter a Component by Double-Clicking on it, In instances where multiple Components are overlayed on top of each-other, the 'isolate' function would be very useful to be able to double-click on only the desired Component, in order to enter it. (I understand it could be argued that the 'Pencil' icon next to the Component could just as easily be used, but this is moreso about the practical use for isolating Components, as well Components being an exception to the rule for objects in the Navigator that can be isolated). Repro Steps: 1) Open the Coriolis Studio project from the InternalProjects repo. 2) With MainPage.xaml, double-click on any of the gauges to open it in its Component Page. 3) With the gauge's document open, attempt to open isolate the Component within it that features the RadialGauge part of it (this will be named [Gauge_xxx], by doing the following: 4) Attempt to double-click on the [Gauge_xxx] from the Stage. Observe how instead, one of the super-imposed Components is opened. 5) Right-click on the [Gauge_xxx] Component, and attempt to select the 'isolate' function from its context menu. Observe how the isolate function can't be used. | ||||
