| Summary | 0004589: PathGeometries Lacking Access to Individual Points | ||||
| Description | Currently, converting any shape to a PathGeometry grants access to its individual Segments. However, individual Path Points cannot be directly accessed or controlled as individual X and Y values. This prevents being able to bind a Path Point's position to single numerical values, and forces positioning to be declared a two-number comma-separated array that controls the Segment position and orientation rather than that of an individual Path Point. Repro Steps: Repro Steps: 1) Create a new Studio Project featuring a MainPage.xaml 2) Introduce a Rectangle Element to the Stage, and set it to 512x512 3) Right-click on the Rectangle, and from the 'Path' category of its context menu, select 'Convert to Path'. 4) Select the Path, and in its Properties Panel, in the 'Data' Dropdown, convert the Data type from 'StreamGeometry' to 'PathGeometry'. 5) Expand all sub-categories under the newly-visible 'Figures' header, and under each Segment item, adjust the 'Point' Property. Observe how the position of Path Points can only be adjusted through coordinated adjustment of multiple Segment positionings, each relying on two adjacent values. Expected Results: Path Points can be accessed from the PathGeometry Properties, and their X and Y positions can be directly accessed (and/or bound). | ||||
