Summary0004959: Inspector improvements
Description

There are a lot of a inspector features that would be useful to have:

  • Auto-updating values in the inspector, accompanied with a "Pause Updating" button to freeze values. Refresh button is disabled while auto-updating is on.
  • Expose Interaction.Behaviors in the inspector so I can see behavior bindings for a given element
  • Expose Visual State Groups and Visual States and the active state for each group for a given element
  • Show the currently focused element somewhere in the Inspector UI
    • Would also be nice to be able to see a filtered view of the visual tree hierarchy of the focused element. Maybe a different tab view in the Inspector? Or maybe just highlighting elements in the visual tree (make it toggleable?)

For the focused element there is already in the Inspector a button in the tree toolbar (the one in the right) for auto-selecting the focused element ("Track focused element").
With this enabled, every time the focus changes, the element gets automatically selected showing its properties.

  • Watch properties update values automatically (for now only one property can be watched)
  • Behaviors and Visual States are now exposed
