| Summary | 0005085: Ungrouping Elements Deletes Element Names From The Timeline, Retains Presence in Timeline | ||||
| Description | Currently, if you have a Timeline which contains: And you Ungroup the Named Elements from their 'Group/Parent', the Elements will have their names cleared from the Timeline view. What will also occur, is that ungrouping a Layout Element, does not actually result in its removal from the Timeline, even if it has been removed from the Navigator hierarchy. See attached video. Repro Steps: 1) Download, unzip, and open the attached Studio Project. 2) On the MainPage, right-click on the ContentControl on the right of the screen (Squad listing), and from its context menu select 'Templates' --> 'Content' --> 'Edit'. 3) Within the ContentControl Content Template just opened, right-click on the ListBox containing each player, and from its Context Menu, navigate to 'Templates' --> 'ItemContainer' --> 'Edit'. 4) Within the ItemContainer Template, identify the CheckBox Element on the right of each player row, right-click on it, and from its Context Menu navigate to 'Templates' --> 'CheckBox' --> 'Edit'. 5) Within the CheckBox Template, navigate to the Animations/VisualStates Panel, and select the 'MouseOver' Visual State. 6) In the Timeline, select the Element named 'Icon_Cross_Path'. 7) Make a mental note that the Path Element named 'Icon_Cross_Path' has a parent Grid Element named 'Icon_Cross_Grid'. 8) Select 'Icon_Cross_Grid' in the Navigator, right-click on it, and from the 'Layout' section of the Context Menu, select 'Ungroup'. Observe how the Grid Element that is no longer part of the hierarchy, still appears in the Timeline as '[Grid]' Expected Results: Ungrouping a Layout Element is an operation equivalent to deleting an Element from the hierarchy, and should therefore result in a disappearance of the Element from Timelines where its used. Expected Results: Ungrouping a Layout Element does not result in the name loss of Elements in Timelines where they are used. | ||||
