| Summary | 0005317: Rendering Mismatch Between Colour Values Depending On Usage | ||||
| Description | Currently, the majority of our colour Properties render the exact colour representation on-Stage, using sRGB. However, in the context of the same colour used in the context of a DropShadow Effect, the colours render unexpectedly darker due to using a different colour profile (Linear). ( https://stackoverflow.com/questions/18130968/wpf-dropshadoweffect-unexpected-color-difference ) This results in not being able to achieve a precise Effect colour representation in Studio. See attached screenshot. Repro Steps: 1) Create a Studio Project featuring a MainPage.xaml 2) Introduce a TextBlock to the Page, and set its 'Foreground' Property to a specific colour. 3) Apply a DropShadow Effect to the TextBlock introduced in Step 2), set its Properties to make the effect visible on-Stage, then set it's 'Color' Property as the same colour picked for the TextBlock's Foreground in Step 2). Observe how the Text's color, and the Effect color don't match. Expected Results: Selecting a specific colour in an effect, renders the exact colour chosen. | ||||
