Re: Noesis for Rust & Bevy
Let me do some research. I'm not sure what the most common way of providing third party plugins to godot is (probably gdextension), so I'll figure that out and make a new repo.

Re: Noesis for Rust & Bevy
I also have an excellent implementation of Noesis for Godot that isn't currently in its own repo, but I could extract it and make it a gdExtension (or something? not sure the correct distribution method) if anyone is interested. It's pretty much complete and is actively being used in Architect of Ru...

Noesis for Rust & Bevy
I have cleaned up and published an engine-agnostic rust runtime for the Noesis SDK: https://github.com/dead-money/noesis_runtime No Noesis SDK code is vendored or translated; it's only #include'd at compile time from NOESIS_SDK_DIR. I suspect this will not be super interesting to the Rust community,...

Architect of Ruin uses Noesis.
My game was announced: https://www.pcgamesn.com/architect-of-ruin/new-cult-building-colony-sim and I thought you all might want to know that it uses Noesis! I picked Noesis because I wanted a heavily data-driven UI system that would pair well with a goal of making the game more easily moddable. It's...

Re: No spirv for noesis shaders on Linux.
Also, I noticed that it SEEMS like if I edit a noesisbrush, Unity doesn't re-import it automagically. Pretty sure this is a feature that can be added to the noesis brush importer.

No spirv for noesis shaders on Linux.
I bugged this here: https://www.noesisengine.com/bugs/view.php?id=4578 Vulkan on Linux works great, btw. I have bugged a couple issues with the shader tools chain. - shader compiler needs +x - shader paths have incorrect slash direction - no spirv I've fixed these locally and the shaders work, so it...

Re: Unity: Hang in "callback in NoesisLangServer"
Disabling the Noesis language server integration in Rider fixed the problem. I wonder if there is a bad interaction between the 3.2.8 language server, Rider 2025.2.2.1, and Unity 6000.2.

Re: Unity: Hang in "callback in NoesisLangServer"
Ah, looks like it isn't locking up, Noesis just gets into a state where NoesisLangServer is doing something when a xaml changes that takes 30 seconds.

Unity: Hang in "callback in NoesisLangServer"
This doesn't happen often, but sometimes this chain of events takes place (on both Windows and Linux): - Game is running. - I modify a panel. In one case, I moved a Border containing a stackpanel and some buttons to a different grid. - The modification triggers hot reloading. - Unity deadlocks. - I ...
