RichText in TextBox
Hi guys, Is it possible to have a text box that supports Rich Text using Noesis?
Re: RichText in TextBox
Hi Aliakbar,
In version 3.1.6 we added the RichText.Text attached property, which adds support for BBCode to TextBlocks.

Re: RichText in TextBox
But does it work in Text Box? (I want to write a text editor in which user can write text and use a button to bold/italic selected text area)
Re: RichText in TextBox
Unfortunately it doesn't. RichTextBox is not implemented. Please create a ticket about it, although this is going to be low-priority.
Re: RichText in TextBox
how can I use RichText.Text in the text block in Unity? when I want to use it, it says not found
Re: RichText in TextBox
Please post the ticket to our bugtracker: https://www.noesisengine.com/bugs/my_view_page.php
RichText is in the NoesisGUIExtensions namespace, to access it you need to use that (see the "local" namespace in the example below) .
Our Localization sample shows RichText in use: https://github.com/Noesis/Tutorials/tre ... calization

Code: Select all

<TextBlock noesis:RichText.Text="Plain. [b]Bold, [i]bold italic, [/i]" />
</Grid>Re: RichText in TextBox
I cannot open the blend project of Localization sample, it says .Net framework 4.5 targeting pack is needed, but I can't find it anywhere online. and on my own project when I want to use RichText property, it says not found, even though I already added the namespace (somehow it doesn't detect the namespace)
Re: RichText in TextBox
Our samples do not currently support Visual Studio 2022, as .Net Framework 4.5 has been flagged as Out of support.
We have fixed this issue in our upcoming 3.2 beta5 release, which will be out this week. NoesisGUI 3.2 (final) will be released later this month.
