Cannot get UI to show up in Unity 6 HDRP

04 Jan 2025, 15:45

I'm creating a default Unity 6 HDRP Tempalte project, import the Noesis Package, create a View on the Camera and add the Hello World Xaml (or any other really)

Nothing shows up.

Is there a limitation on the trial version or do I have to take something into account? Things work fine in URP

Edit: So I just saw you need to apparently add the Custom Pass Volume? Is that the default way of doing things or a current work around?
If it's the intended way, then setting the pass to Camera and Injection point to After PostProcess?
Just double checking if this is the intended way of running Noesis with HDRP

https://www.noesisengine.com/docs/Gui.C ... orial.html

it is part of the tutorial, so I think it is the intended way.. it makes kinda sense because of how the render pipeline works in hdrp
I think there is a bug with unity6 + hdr though (only pre-processing works there, which has some jittering)

That documentation specifically addresses needing this Render Pass if you want Post-Processing to be applied to the UI (which I don't).
It doesn't say anything about the pass being necessary for normal rendering. And if this is necessary, then I think this component should be added automatically when adding the NoesisView.
It's not obvious in the documentation that this is a necessary step.

Yes, the documentation is outdated.

We need to update and thoroughly test HDRP in Unity 6.
