Commercial use restrictions ?

Hi. If i use free version and i sell my game, should i make my game open-source ?

I think the licensing page is clear enough http://www.noesisengine.com/licensing.php
With the FREE license you can use NoesisGUI in the commercial product - the only restriction is that your company Gross Annual Revenue should be less than 100K EUR.

Hi,

We want that people starting at game development and without many resources can benefit from NoesisGUI.

But at the same time we need that those who are really making money using our technology help us support our development, so we had to put a limit somewhere.

As exposed in our licensing page, the product is free if your company has a gross annual revenue less than 100K euros (estimated for recently created companies), that includes any sales, investment (public or private) or grant you received or will receive during the year.

So, if you sell your game and it becomes a huge success, just remember to buy a Pro license when you make the next game ;)

Sorry to revive this thread ;)

One thing is still not 100% clear to me:
If i ship the product I'd build with this library for free I don't need a license, right?

The license of NoesisGUI is free if your product enters the category of INDIE (Gross Annual Revenue of the company or product should be less than 100K EUR).

Here a simmlar/addiational question, from a litte Student. :)

Then i share a game for free/patreon/commercial, that uses noesisGUI. Then and how often, have i to report, that i don't earn more than 100k ?
And in which form, have i to report ?

Being an indie developer, if your game generates more revenue than 100.000$/year then you need to buy a Pro license. Please, contact us in private if you need more details.
