Crash / Exception occuring with Comboboxes

16 Oct 2013, 11:42

Hi,

this is an issue we reported a while ago which is already in the Noesis Bugtracker but unfortunately was not fixed in 1.1.0 (which was our hope :)

Steps to reproduce:
1. Click on a Combobox Button and keep left mouse button down (dont release mousebutton).
2. Move your mouse pointer into the combo box list area (without releaseing mousebutton).
3. Crash / Exception will occur.

Can you please check if this is still occuring on your side? Maybe there is just an issue with our update.

best regards,
Andreas

Hi Andreas,

We don't forget about issues reported in our bugtracker, we simply give priority to those that we think would be critical or blocking. This particular issue can just be avoided by pressing and releasing the mouse button before going down to the combo box items :)

Anyway, you would be happy to know that this bug is planned to be fixed in the next release due in two weeks ;)

Thanks for the reply. Good to hear this will be fixed within the next two weeks.

From my point of view (and QA experience) crashes are always critical and should be fixed in first place. If the crash can be avoided by programming it would be okay, but you can't tell a user what he should or should not do :D

best regards,
Andreas

You are right, crashes are considered critical ;)
