UX Suggestion: Better visualization of hierarchy for Data Sets properties
Greetings!
Data Structures and Sets have been incredibly useful for quickly creating ViewModels and Collections and we love them as a feature! However, we have noticed that after a certain point it can get rather difficult and confusing to navigate large data sets, especially when they have multiple nested data structures, as is often the case in more complex menus.
I'm attaching a screenshot to provide an example of what we are dealing with.
Our structure looks like this:
- InventoryViewModel
--- CreativeLibraryViewModel
------ Creative Tabs Collection
--------- Creative Tab Items
------------ Creative Item Groups
--------------- Inventory Slots
------------------ Item
--------------------- Item Properties
As you can see that's a lot of nested data and the current interface doesn't do a very good job at representing this hierarchy. The Item Properties, Item, Inventory Slots, Creative Item Group, and Creative Tab Items all visually look to be on the same level, despite the fact they are not. This makes it really hard to navigate when you have multiple items in each of the collections.
Some form of visual hierarchy, whether through indentation or the use of lines/arrows as done in Figma would greatly improve the UX.
