Studio Primitive Collections with C++

15 Sep 2025, 21:49

I can't seem to find any examples on using collections with primitives from the native SDK samples. Studio clearly allows me to make collections of numbers, bools, and strings, but none of those types are BaseComponent so I can't use ObservableCollection nor FreezableCollection (BaseCollection even enforces this). Is there something I'm missing that allows this special functionality?

My goal is to support some custom dynamic data models that I'm generating at runtime, but I've hit a wall with supporting arrays.

Thanks!
Mike

Hey Mike,

Collections of primitive types are handled using boxed values.

Please let me know if you’d like an example or more detail on how to set this up.
