Noesis integration
Hi.
I'm in the process of integrating the Noesis SDK into our bespoke engine. I've only implemented basic xaml/font loading and focused on getting the Renderer implemented, implemented a child of the RenderDevice class and all the functionality that is currently being executed. Finally got something up and rendering, but the result is far from what it should look like when viewing the xaml sample in the Xaml-viewer that comes with the sdk. I only get two draw calls executing, one for the background and one for the font. So I'm just wondering what in the process I'm missing now, as I was expecting the whole thing to be rendering at some default state, but perhaps there's more to it, I must admit that I haven't really read through all of the documentation yet :) Just wondered if anyone could give me some pointers at this point in time.
This is what I expect to be rendered from the xaml I use as that is what is rendered in the xaml-viewer This is what I get, which seems to be missing a lot of widgets and tab-layout. Thanks,
Pdr

Re: Noesis integration
Hello!
It looks like you’re missing the step where the default theme is set up. Without this, many of the controls won’t render as expected.
I recommend checking the IntegrationGLUT sample, it demonstrates how to load the built-in theme. The relevant lines are:

Code: Select all
// Install providers for the theme and set default font
NoesisApp::SetThemeProviders();
// Load the Dark Blue theme
Noesis::GUI::LoadApplicationResources(NoesisApp::Theme::DarkBlue());
