How to make procedural shapes by binding to path data?
[beginner alert]
Does anyone know how I might bind my data to LineSegments or their Points in Noesis studio? I've attempted to make new data structures that have the same properties as the line segments' points and then binding to individual points but to no avail. What I'm looking to see is some configuration of data that will control the height of individual vertices of a rectangle.
I'm ultimately working in meta horizon so extensions outside noesis studios are off limits to me, as far as I've tested
Thanks in advance!

Re: How to make procedural shapes by binding to path data?
Hi Jack, Dorian here to walk you through this,
So the good news, is that what you're looking to do is possible within Studio. Here's how we can approach this:
1) If your shape is a Shape Element (Rectangle, Star, RegularPolygon, etc..), we'll need to first convert it to a Path. (If it's already a Path, jump to Step 2)
This can easily be done by right-clicking on the Shape Element, and from its context menu's 'Path' category, select 'Convert to Path'.
2) Select the Path, and navigate to its Properties Panel on the right of the screen.
In most cases, under the 'Path' category', the 'Data' Property will be as a 'StreamGeometry'.
From this 'Data' Dropdown menu, instead, select 'PathGeometry'.
3) If you then go ahead and expand both the 'Figures' section and the contained 'Segments' sections, this will then expose the Start Point, and all of the Path's individual Segments.
In particular, you'll notice a set of Properties featuring two paired fields. These correspond to the X and Y Positions that will allow positional re-adjustment.
4) You'll then want to go prepare your Data Structure. What we'll be doing here is that we'll be mapping the single 'Point' Property (composed of the 'X' and 'Y' fields) to a single Data Value. We need to include two values in a single value, so we'll be setting it as a 'String' Data Type as opposed to a Number.
5) And then for its Data Value in the DataSet, we'll be inputting it as two comma-delineated values (eg: '200, 32'), with the first value corresponding to the 'X' position, and the second to the 'Y' position, like so:
6) At this point, we can return to our Path, and in its Properties, simply Bind the desired Segment's 'Point' Property to our created Data, resulting in giving us a Data-driven positioning.
Repeat this operation as desired across remaining Segments, and that's it!
Let us know if this matches what you were looking to achieve, or if you have any other questions.
