Background Blur on "3D view"

12 Dec 2025, 16:31

Hello! I'm looking to add a BlurEffect to a panel (like this https://github.com/Noesis/Tutorials/tre ... groundBlur), but one that would blur the view (rendered before in our custom engine) behind it, not just an element targeted by "Source".
It doesn't seem possible, but it surprises me a little, I must have missed something.
Thanks!

Capturing the background for content that is not rendered by Noesis has to be handled on the client side, since that’s where it can be done efficiently. You need to capture your custom-engine output into a texture and then provide that texture to the background-blur effect.

That's exactly how Unreal is doing this.

Ok thanks! I suspected that would be the answer, but at least I'm sure
