Binding Noesis Duration in storyboard c++

02 Feb 2026, 10:08

Hi,

For my Unreal project, I need to bind a duration in a storyboard.
<Storyboard x:Key="Animation">
   <DoubleAnimation Storyboard.TargetName="test" Storyboard.TargetProperty="Opacity"
          From="0" To="1" Duration="{Binding Duration}"/>
</Storyboard>
I created a variable in c++ in file.h :
UPROPERTY()
   Noesis::Duration Duration;
But I have an error :
error : Unable to find 'class', 'delegate', 'enum', or 'struct' with name 'Noesis::Duration'
.

This is my first project in C++ and I don't understand why I'm getting this error.
Can you help me fix this error and get my binding for XAML?

Hello,

As indicated in the Unreal tutorial, the Noesis::Duration type is mapped in Unreal to the FNoesisDuration type. You should be able to use that one in your view model:
UPROPERTY()
FNoesisDuration Duration;
Have you tried that?

Hi,
No, I haven't tried that, and I think it's the right solution, but I'm not sure how to implement it.
Do you have an example in C++ to help me?

Edit: Thank you, I fixed my problem.
