We are at a point in our project where we find it important to improve our workflows, and we are looking at either implementing a XAML editor within our engine that can read our viewmodels, custom controls, effects etc, or wait for Noesis GUI 4.0 which should let us integrate Noesis Studio inside our own engine (based on forum posts viewtopic.php?p=19497&hilit=Studio+integration#p19497 ).

Is there an ETA on this update, so we can plan accordingly?

Noesis 4.0 is planned for release before Gamescom this year. It will include:

• Noesis Studio for both Windows and macOS
• Noesis Studio integrated with Unity and Unreal
• Support for all our target platforms: desktop, mobile, web, and consoles
• All samples recreated without Blend dependencies

However, you don't need to wait for the official release. Since you have access to the source code, you can start using Noesis 4.0 now, just as other studios are already doing.

When viewing the repository in SVN I cannot see folder added under the tags folder, am I supposed to grab from Trunk to get 4.0?

Yes. Before the official release, SVN trunk contains the latest development for version 4.0.
