xamarin integration
hi!
i've spotted that you were talking with xamarin developers about a possibility of adding WPF functionality to their product?
what is the current status of this issue?
did you achieve some agreements by now?
i like versatility of both xamarin and wpf, and i'm completely agree that it would be great to combine them. and awaiting this in great anticipation
actually, i'm now thinking about making a new project (which is "general application", like, say, some sort of store or messaging client etc) within a unity with use of noesisGUI for it to be crossplatform and screen-independent.
but it scares me alittle because of platforms-native parts of it. and i'm considering, how much sub-optimal it may be to use such approach
i understand, that if xamarin-noesis integration will be implemented, it will be not soon enough for this oncoming project, but i want to know, whether i may bet on it in any sort of near future

Re: xamarin integration
Before the xamarin integration we have to finish a C# API for noesisGUI out of Unity (we already have an internal beta). We are working on it. After that we will study the integration with Xamarin. We know many people want this integration, for now the best thing you can do is pushing for this in the xamarin forums.
Could you ellaborate more about this?but it scares me alittle because of platforms-native parts of it. and i'm considering, how much sub-optimal it may be to use such approach

in brief.
it's the application for a night club.
here is what i have done with xamarin
https://itunes.apple.com/WebObjects/MZS ... 52569&mt=8
it was a first try and is not very flexible.
it is the reason why i want it to be redone (not particularly this app, but those, that will come later)
having the experience and understanding, now i want to redo it to be completely cross-platform with the single code base.
wanna build something like 'framework' for all those, because we have more orders now.
basically, i don't want to mess with all this autolayouts and different devices and so on.
i'm not aiming for the application to look 'native'. i just want it to look nice, with crisp fonts, smooth animations etc
further, about the app (what is not seen on screenshots):
there is a kind of "coverflow" to see photos (where you enter by clicking gallery you want to see)
the second screenshot is a master-detail view.
also there is a page for reserving table in a club, from where you may make payment for reserve
i'm not describing everything, but enough to get the overall idea
galleries, announces, news, orders, everything is updated live from our server.
native functionality that i will need is next
- accessing calendars
- push notifications
- accessing app directories on different device OSes for storing cached images
Re: xamarin integration
Thanks for the information. I understand now your worries. I imagine that all that native functionality you need is provided by xamarin. Anyway, I would say that there are Unity plugin for many of those requirements.native functionality that i will need is next

i rather want to hear your opinion on the very idea as a whole. does it make sense?
Re: xamarin integration
Yes, from the point of view of the GUI it makes perfect sense using noesisGUI.
