Creating a project in Blend for Visual Studio 2013
Hello all,
New NoesisGUI user in here. I'm trying to setup Blend by following the instructions [url=http://www.noesisengine.com/docs/Gui.Co ... unity.html]here[/link]. I'm using Visual Studio Express 2013. Unfortunately, when I try to create a new project, I'm not getting the "WPF Application" option depicted in the tutorial. Instead, I'm getting "HTML (Store Apps)" and "XAML (Store Apps)". I've chosen "Blank App (Windows)" from "XAML (Store Apps)" but, when I try to import a XAML file from NoesisGUI samples (e.g., Lion.xaml), I'm getting an error message about "RadialGradientBrush" not supported in a Windows App project.
I've searched on the forums but couldn't find any posts reporting an issue similar to the one I'm encountering. Can I ask you for some guidance? Any ideas on why am I not getting WPF Application as an option inside Blend?
Cheers,

The Blend version included in Visual Studio Express does not allow you to output WPF or Silverlight XAML (only Windows Store App XAML), so it won't work with Noesis.

Ups, sorry for that. Fixed!
Re: Creating a project in Blend for Visual Studio 2013
Hello jsantos,
Many thanks for your reply. I tried downloading the last option from the link you've sent me:
"There is another version of Blend that generates XAML for Windows Store and Windows Phone 8 applications, and is available for free in Visual Studio Express 2012 for Windows 8. There aren't many differences between the generated XAML for WinRT and WPF, so we will adapt our parser to support it very soon."
but, when I fire up the 2012 version of Blend, I'm still not getting "WPF" as an option in the menu. The options I'm getting are "HTML (Windows Store)" and "XAML (Windows Store)". Any tips on what am I missing? Thanks in advance!

Is that 2012 Express, or 2012 Pro?

Also, VS 2013 Pro is now free for individuals. .Net runtime was also open sourced.

Hello guys,
Thanks everyone for your replies. Indeed, I have just downloaded Visual Studio Community 2013 and I'm very happy to report that Blend includes a WPF option! Seems I couldn't have picked a better time to get started with Noesis
