| Summary | 0003788: Add support to NoesisInspector to allow automated testing | ||||
| Description | The NoesisInspector provides a means to remotely connect to views for debugging purposes. Would it be possible to leverage this ability to implement a selenium-like framework - being able to connect to an application remotely, finding elements (such as controls, labels, text fields, etc.) and triggering commands on these elements from (say) a python script would be immensely beneficial for automated testing. Additional context can be found on this topic on the forum: https://www.noesisengine.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=17768&sid=2450f1e987b4dad97624639a5830b570 | ||||

I do not suppose there has been any progress on this by any chance? We are actively looking to improve our automated testing for UI elements. |
|
|
We haven’t made any progress on this front yet. There is another related ticket (0002389) requesting support for Windows Automation: It would definitely make sense to implement this at the Inspector level. |

Thanks - looking forward to updates on this (or the linked) issue as it will definitely make testing much easier. |
