| Summary | 0005162: Unreal Engine packaged file size becomes extremely large after enabling NoesisGUI (4.0.0b19) | ||||
| Description | I have a very large Unreal Engine project. Normally, when I package an empty level, the final packaged size is around 1–2 GB. However, after enabling the NoesisGUI (4.0.0b19) plugin, Unreal Engine appears to cook every file in the project and include everything in the packaged build. As a result, the packaged file size becomes extremely large. I asked Codex to investigate the issue and it made changes to the following two files: NoesisEditorModule.cpp I'm not sure whether these changes could have any negative side effects, but after applying them, the packaged game size returned to its original size. So far, the game and the NoesisGUI UI are still working normally. | ||||
