| Summary | 0005313: Copied Bindings Lose Their 'Ancestor Type' When Pasted | ||||
| Description | Currently, we allow to easily Copy-Paste an entire Binding from one Element to another. However, when the copied Binding is of Type: Relative, all Binding Binding Properties are conserved, with the exception of the 'Ancestor Type' sub-property. This causes all pasted Binding of this type to break upon pasting. See attached video. Repro Steps: 1) Download, unzip, and open the attached 'Setters_Project' in Noesis Studio. 2) On the Stage of MainPage.xaml, identify any of the Buttons at the top of the Page, and right-click any of them and enter its Button:CONTENT Template for Edit. 3) Once inside of the Template, identify the Element named 'Label_TextBlock' in the Navigator, select it, identify its Font Family Property in the Properties Panel, and expand its Binding to see all of its Bindings sub-Properties. 4) Hover over the 'Family' Property, click on its 3Dot menu, and select 'Copy'. 5) Identify the Element named 'Quantity_TextBlock' in the Navigator, select, then in its Properties Panel, hover over the 'Font Family' Property, click on its 3Dot menu, and select 'Paste'. Observe how the typography has broken. 6) Expand the 'Quantity_TextBlock' Font Family Binding. Observe how the 'Ancestor Type' SubProperty has not carried over in the Copy-Paste operation. Expected Results: Copying a Property copies all of its sub-Property values. | ||||
