| Summary | 0005318: DropShadow Effect Distance Property Can Be Set to Negative | ||||
| Description | Currently, the DropShadow Effect offers a number of Properties, including a 'Shadow Depth' Property. This is a value which is able to be set between 0 and 300. However, in Studio, this value can be set to -Negative values, which results in the Effect not being rendered at all. See attached screenshot. Repro Steps: 1) Create a Studio Project featuring a MainPage.xaml 2) Introduce a TextBlock to the Page. 3) Apply a DropShadow Effect to the TextBlock introduced in Step 2), set its Properties to make the effect visible on-Stage, using a +Positive value as the 'Shadow Depth' Property value. Observe how Effect renders as expected. 4) Change the 'Shadow Depth' Property to a -Negative value. Observe how the Effect no longer renders. Expected Results: The 'Shadow Depth' Property value forces a 'clamp' between 0 and 300 to prevent invalid values for the field. | ||||

I added a min(0) limit for Studio, but we should apply some clamping in the render to prevent undesired effects. |
