Summary0005321: Adding Color themes broke vector art inside Button
Description

Reproduction

  1. New project.
  2. In GlobalResources.xaml merge: <ResourceDictionary Source="/Noesis.GUI.Extensions;component/Theme/NoesisTheme.DarkBlue.xaml"/>
  3. Add a Button. With paths

Expected: Template renders as designed.
Actual: Artwork is misaligned, caps detach from the middle slice and proportions are wrong. Removing the theme merge fixes it completely.

Notes - Reproduced by copying the button from another project's Global Resources (which merges no theme), Copying artwork as a component asset than making a button from it in the target file, and by rebuilding it from scratch. - Only DarkBlue tested. -Color themes are not used for this button specifically

Are the paths pasted as the Content of the Button or have you created your own template?
If you set the Button's Padding to 0, and HorizontalContentAlignment/VerticalContentAlignment to Stretch, are the vector paths rendering correctly?

A theme usually defines the default styles for each control:

  • Style: with a list of property setters (to define the default brushes, paddings, alignments, etc.)
  • Template: this is the visual representation of the control

So it is normal that if you change the control default style, the control content can be rendered in a different way, because it depends on how the template presents that content (margins, alignments, etc.).
