Issue when importing a new package on Unity (version upgrade)

22 Sep 2020, 17:03

Hi everyone, I'm new here, trying the package for the first time.
Whenever I try to import a new version of the package, it says the access to the dll is denied. Possibly because it's loaded and in use.
The way I do, is to close the editor, delete the folder, reopen the editor, and import the new package.

Is there a better way to do this?

Yes, this is normal and for now there is no better alternative as Unity doesn't support unloading native plugins.

From our Unity Tutorial:
Although not strictly necessary we recommend closing Unity and removing both '/Assets/NoesisGUI/Plugins' and '/Assets/NoesisGUI/Samples' folder before installing a new version of NoesisGUI. Do not remove the folder '/Assets/NoesisGUI/Settings' if you want to preserve your settings.
