Crash upon first showing UI on device only (Unity / Quest 3)
Upon first showing a UI on device, i am having the game crash.
In editor, everything looks and behaves perfectly.
Note, I can have the View component on the camera without a crash, it's only when a World component attaches itself to the view that the crash occurs.
Some context:
- Unity 2023.2.2f1
- Noesis 3.2.7
- Quest 3 (Android)
- World space UI
- Both release and development builds
I've attached with logcat in a development build to get more information.
The adb logs are below (apologies for the formatting)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Let me know if any further information would be helpful.

Thanks for the report. When you mention Quest 3 specifically, does that mean it's working fine on Quest 2?
Could you please create a ticket for this and attach the log using our Debug libraries?

Re: Crash upon first showing UI on device only (Unity / Quest 3)
I only mention Quest 3, as I haven't had the chance to test on other devices.
I slowly rolled back on UIs to track down exactly what was causing the issue and it appears to be coming from somewhere in this:
Still tracking down exactly which aspect of this is causing the issue.
I'll report a bug now.

I've updated the ticket, but encountered the issue again now with text dropshadow.

Is there any chance shaders are getting stripped or not included potentially?
Practically everything in my application is loaded via addressables, so i wonder if noesis is doing any selective compilation/inclusion, is there any chance it's missing some necessary shaders?

Re: Crash upon first showing UI on device only (Unity / Quest 3)
I don't think so, this seems to be an issue related to offscreens. We didn’t have time to include a fix in 3.2.8.
I do wonder if you could try testing it with Unity 6.1
