Best Practices for Improving Performance in NoesisGUI (Unity Project)
Hi everyone,
I’ve been working with NoesisGUI in a Unity project and overall I really like the workflow and separation between UI and logic. However, I’ve started to notice some performance drops when the UI becomes more complex (multiple animations, bindings, and nested elements).
I’m currently using XAML layouts with several DataTemplates and bindings, and I’m wondering if there are recommended best practices to optimize performance. For example, should I avoid too many bindings or reduce visual tree complexity?
Also, are there any tools or debugging methods within NoesisGUI to help identify performance bottlenecks? I’d love to hear how others are handling optimization in larger projects.
Thanks in advance for any tips or insights!

Thanks for your feedback! Could you elaborate a bit more on what you mean by "some performance drops"? Are you experiencing a consistently reduced frame rate, or occasional performance spikes?
As a first recommendation, make sure to place as many items as possible (such as resources and templates) in the global dictionary. This is the number one issue when projects start using a large number of instantiated user controls. If the dictionaries are not merged globally, they need to be re-instantiated for every control instance, which can impact performance.

There is also a guide on Optimizing Performance, but unfortunately it is not very complete and needs improvement.
