| Summary | 0004859: Collapsed Elements Intercept User's Clicks | ||||
| Description | Currently, if an Element has its 'Visibility' set to 'Collapsed', it should in theory lose its visibility, its hit-test, and also its functionality. However, when a creator sets an Element to be 'Collapsed', although it loses its visibility on-Stage, it remains hit-test visible, and can result in intercepting mouse-clicks destined for Elements placed under it. See attached video. This results in situations where even if all overlapping Elements are set to 'Collapsed', and Elements under the Collapsed ones, can end up in a position where they can never be clicked on the Stage. This defeats one of the supposed features of 'Collapsing' an Element. The only way to get around this is to fully delete the Element "in the way". Repro Steps: 1) Create a Studio Project featuring a MainPage.xaml 2) Introduce a Star Element to the rootGrid, and give it a Green 'Fill'. Otherwise, keep all other Properties exactly as they come when the Element is dragged in. 3) Introduce a second Star Element, and give it a Red 'Fill'. As before, keep all other Properties exactly as they come when the Element is dragged in. This will result in two Stars of exact same dimension being overlayed on top of eachother. 4) Click the top-most Star on the Stage, and set its 'Visibility' to 'Collapsed'. This should reveal the other coloured Star. 5) Click anywhere off of the Stage to deselect the Star Collapsed in Step 4). 6) Click on the visible Star currently on the Stage. Observe how the Collapsed Element is being selected, despite being completely taken out of action via the 'Collapsed' value. Expected Results: Collapsed Elements can't be clicked on the Stage (just in the Navigator). | ||||
