A couple newbie questions about tutorials
Hi, guys. Tried NS and it looks promising. Great job! Looking forward to next updates!
I still a newbie in WPF, so I read documentation and tried tutorials first...
P.S. Thank you for the tutorials, Dorian!

- Creating a Character Selection Screen in Noesis Studio (Character Selector Walkthrough)
a) Sorry for a newbie question. After final app started, there is no border on the selected item. It appears only after first click. How to make it was visible on the selected item (we already set default item to 0) after start?
b) I'm not sure is it a bug, or I missed something. But I can't unfold SelectedItem to select Character_Name (although I did it via SelectedValue (as you can see, SelectedIteam and SelectedValue has same type).
- Creating a Style Switcher in Noesis Studio
I know that tutorial is not finihshed (same as corresponding documentation), but maybe you could write here basic steps, how to finish it, please?
P.S. Thank you for the tutorials, Dorian!
Re: A couple newbie questions about tutorials
Hi Dmitry, Dorian here :)
1) For the Character Selection Screen Tutorial, we've made some significant improvements to simplify the workflow around working with ListBox Templates since the original written tutorial was published.
We've updated this exercise to reflect what is essentially a new, updated Tutorial which will enable you to complete the entire process from start to finish in the latest build. You can view this here:
If you prefer working with a written version, this has now been updated as well: https://www.noesisengine.com/docs/4.0/G ... ector.html
2) For the Style Switcher Tutorial, finalising this exercise first requires our dev team to make some feature additions to Studio to support Dictionary switching from the ComboBox. With that said, all of the theory of the steps outside of the ComboBox functionality are still all valid; just that Style switching between the 3 Dictionaries needs to be performed either by:
a) Editing Style_Fonts_Master.xaml either by hand in your Text Editor of choice, or through writing some code-behind to change the Merged Dictionary between A, B, or C as desired.
b) In Noesis Studio, with Style_Fonts_Master.xaml open, navigating to the Resources Panel [Ctrl+5], hovering over the currently-merged Dictionary and pressing the 🗑️(Unmerge) icon, then hovering over the Style_Fonts_Master.xaml [ResourceDictionary], pressing the ⊕ (Add) icon, and picking which new Font Style set you'd like to use instead from the 'Merge Existing Dictionary' listing in the context menu.
Hope this unblocks you, and thanks again for reaching out! If you still run into any issues, please reply to this thread and we'll work to get you the help you need.

Re: A couple newbie questions about tutorials
Regarding your questions for Character Selection:
a) Reviewing the tutorial video I saw that only Selected state was set up, and there is another relevant state here, the SelectedUnfocused, which is active when ListBoxItem doesn't have focus. This is the state that is visible when starting the application and the ListBox has a selected item without focus.
b) This was a bug we already fixed in a recent version of Studio:
Alpha 0.0.192: Fixed: Binding Path tree not showing SelectedItem subproperties
